The Perfect Everyday Palette: Tartelette in Bloom Review

Hello my beautiful friends!! If you keep up with hyped beauty products at all, you've probably seen the Tartelette in Bloom palette more times than you can count. But, I want you to look at it one more time, because it's my turn to give my two cents on the product! You can tell from the title of this post that I love this palette (a LOT), but keep reading to find out why.

Since there are so many reviews of this palette already out there, I'm going to keep my review of the actual formulation short and sweet- this palette has the most buttery and blendable mattes I've ever felt and really smooth and pigmented metallic shades. The packaging feels really nice and makes me happy just looking at it, and the mirror is awesome.

As a high school student and huge advocate for sleeping in till the very last minute (and I mean VERY last minute) it's important to me that my options are always right in front of me and ready to go. You can see this mindset in my wardrobe- all my favorite clothes are hung up, with jackets, pants, shirts and sweaters each in their own section ready to grab and go. For that reason, the layout of this palette really spoke to me. All your light highlight-y shades in one column, crease shades in the next, accent shades and finally deeper shades for liner, a smokey look, etc. Tarte has made it so easy to pick a shade in each column, throw it on ya eyelids and call it a day. And, if you're not feeling very creative, you can go across a row and I've found that those colours go really well together. Not sure if that was intentional, but it works for me!

As much fun as I have doing makeup, I'm certainly no professional partially because I don't do it all that often. I appreciate that this palette is really easy to use- super easy to put colours together, and really blendable so it's hard to mess up. However, I think if you are more advanced you'll still be able to get good use out of this palette because it's so versatile.

Can you tell that this is my favorite palette? I don't actually have many eye shadow palettes as I'm more of a singles gal, but this one had been on my wishlist for such a long time that I just had to treat my self. I don't know of any dupes but I can say that the elf Mad for Matte palette has a pretty similar selection and is also pretty comparable quality- a little less pigmented, a little more work, but it doesn't have any of the gorgeous shimmers in the Bloom palette. If you are in the market for a new palette, this may be the one for you :)
