Hello everyone! I just got back from an amazing two- week trip to London that featured a cheeky little overnight trip to Paris with my mom. We had an amazing time, and of course, did a little shopping. We've made this overnight trip countless times so I thought I would share a few of the items that we get pretty much every time we go. Enjoy!
Pharmacy Buys
We always pop into a Parashop or something of the like to stock up on our fave beauty treats- a lot of which you can easily get here in the U.S., but at a heftier price tag. Chances are, any brand that is actually French is going to be a whole lot cheaper in France regardless of if you can find it at Sephora or Target in the U.S.
Phyto shampoo / / You can get this for about $25 on ulta.com... but at the pharmacies in France, this will only set you back about €9, or $10.25. That's less than half price for an AMAZING shampoo.
Lip balms / / I've found two faves over the years- first, and one that will never be replaced, the Caudalie Soin des Levres conditioner. In all honesty, it's totally worth buying for $12 at Sephora. But why would I, when I can get it for less than €3 in France? That's not even a third of the price at Sephora. My other fave is the Avene lip conditioner. It's almost like a jelly texture, but solid enough to be in stick form. I got a 2-pack for €6, when in the U.S., you can get ONE of these lip balms for $14 (again, I would still say this lip balm is worth that price).
Brands / / There are a few brands that I would consider 'high end' here in the U.S. but are not in France. They include Caudalie, Avene, Vichy, La Roche-Posay, and more. Chances are, their products will be really good and not set you back too much.
Other
When I think of France, I think of chic style and good food. That's always been the case, and since I was little I've been seeing my mom buy groceries and handbags when in France. These are a few of the things I got on my last trip.
Longchamp tote / / If you've never owned one of these bags, you're really missing out. I'm lucky enough to have had a few (thanks mom!) and have found them to be amazing. I'm not sure what's so great about a canvas tote with simple leather straps, but Longchamp is doing something right! These bags are great for travel or everyday wear. My mom got a black one for a little cheaper than it is in the U.S. on our last trip.
Sea salt / / I've always been told that French sea salt can make or break the meal. At 16 years old I can't say I'm all that experienced in the sea salt industry, but I'm sure my mom has a good reason for buying at least 10 things of this salt. All I know is it's pretty delicious.
That's all I've got for today, thanks so much for reading! Make sure to check me out on social media, links on the side bar!
