First, and probably the one I am most passionate about... the Gucci t-shirt. You know what I'm talking about. The ultimate boujee-blogger outfit... the Gucci tee, the mom jeans, the slides and if you're going for the billboard look, the Gucci belt to go with. The branding is way too in your face for my taste, on top of the fact that everyone already has this shirt, just does not make me want to drop $450 (whaaaat????) on a white logo t-shirt.

Next up... Mesh tops. I can see these being fun for concerts or parties and the like, but they have been popping up everywhere lately and I just don't see why! The whole mesh look is just not for me- it looks a little cheap, and it isn't particularly versatile- pretty much just a mesh top, nothing else to do with it. I was into the rose embroidery I see on some of these tops for a hot second, until every basic girl started wearing it. I think I've seen enough of the same black, mesh top for one lifetime.
I won't lie. The other day I tried on a pair of pink, furry slides. I was swept up in the moment, okay?! But in all honesty, they weren't half bad, and they were so soft that I was almost ready to buy them and wear them out of the store. That's the cheeky part of me that's actually willing to buy into those trends that 5 years from now I will probably look back on and think... bad call. But, the practical Sophie quickly jumped in and I left the store promptly.
The shoes below might actually be the ugliest shoes I have ever seen. If you have worn them and successfully pulled them off, I applaud you.
And finally, the midi-con dress. Don't get me wrong, I love a good midi dress and I don't hate bodycons. There's just something about the combination of the two that really gets on my nerves. It's like you're trying too hard to channel Kim Kardashian. It's like model-off-duty gone wrong. They just seem to mess up a person's proportions and hug you in the wrong places.
Well, I hope you enjoyed reading, and even if you didn't, I will probably make more of these because it was very fun to write and I'm now feeling super sassy (let's see how long that lasts...). Thank you to The Anna Edit for the inspiration behind this post! Come back Friday to see a review of the Colourpop Ultra Blotted lipstick :)
xo,
Sophie
hey I found this post funny. I enjoyed it. I personally think I'd wear a Gucci t-shirt, but only if it cost WAAAAYY less. it'd be a very simple outfit though, nothing too crazy. haha -alejandra
