Hi, everyone! Welcome back to Fifteen Fashion- today we are talking about a lip gloss from Stila's Magnificent Metals collection. The reason I chose to review this is because it is on sale now so you can get a nice, high-end gloss for just a little more than drugstore price. I will show you what it looks like on my lips and tell you what I think of the formula, hope you enjoy!
First things first (and let's be honest one of the best parts of high-end make-up), the packaging on this is beautiful. It is very sleek and simple but feels hefty enough. The wand is very standard, it bends to make it easier to go around the top lip smoothly.
The shade I have is Moonstone, a beautiful lilac shade with a blue shift in the shimmer. Despite the opaque-looking swatches on Stila's website, this gloss is basically sheer. I was a bit disappointed in this, but the shade turned out to look beautiful anyway. It catches the light in a subtle way, even though the glitter is not finely milled. I like to wear this on its own, but it looks great on top of a lighter pink lipstick like the one I have linked here.
The formula of this is pretty average, although I have only tried one high-end gloss formula that I absolutely love (the classic Lancome ones, but I also want to try the Juicy Shakers). It is certainly on the sticky side, but I don't mind that (I just avoid it on windier days!). It wears off smoothly and does not leave your lips feeling dry or rough like some shimmery glosses do. Even the glitter comes off with the actual glossy product. Overall this lip gloss is pretty average and I will not be adding more shades to my collection, but I will continue to use this gloss. I hope you found this helpful!
Thanks for reading, and come back soon!
