- Get some fine tipped pens. Yes, the watercolour ones are super pretty, but they're also super difficult to use! I like these Stabilo ones.
- Don't set your expectations too high. I'm guilty of this, I see a beautiful journal on Pinterest and when mine doesn't turn out the exact same way I'm disappointed even though it looks absolutely fine!
- Use pencil first. I know what you're thinking, it can't be that hard, I'll just do it in pen. NO! You WILL mess up and regret that choice.
- Don't overdo it on yearly spreads. I've found that they're hard to keep up with every day- if you say one you're dying to do then by all means do it, but you probably won't want to fill out 10 daily trackers for an entire year. If nothing else, it'll get a little boring.
- Take your journal with you. If you have space in your backpack or purse then stick it in there- I don't normally have time to sit down and devote myself to working on it, more often I just work on it during down time between my other activities.
Let me know if you do bullet journaling and if you have any tips!! Hope you enjoyed :)
