Affordable Christmas Bedroom Decor

Hello festive friends!! If you know me I'm sure you know that the instant Thanksgiving passes my room is fully decorated pretty much every year. But, I'm getting a bathroom added to my room (yay!!!) and construction starts this Wednesday, so I haven't put a single Christmas decoration up yet. Its tragic, I know. Anyway, to make up for that I decided to share some tips on how to get into the spirit without breaking the bank!!
First: Check out Target and Walmart right after Christmas and see what clearance goodies you can find. Last year I got these amazing lights (which you can totally use year round) which I wrap around my curtain rod, and another coppery set of lights to put in a simple round vase. I believe these were 4 bucks after Christmas :)
My favorite part of decorating is putting ornaments on the tree... with this one you can only fit, like, 5, but it's still fun! And so cute, and the perfect size for your room. Unless you have a giant room, in which case bigger is better. Always.
I got my tiny little tree for under $10 on Amazon from a random vendor a couple years ago. You can get pretty much the same effect from whichever one you go for! Also, we had a bunch of extra ornaments that were too small for our full-size tree, so I grabbed them to decorate my own.

Pretty much the only thing that gets me through to winter break is knowing that Christmas is just around the corner. Countdowns like this one are the perfect pick-me-up every morning! I got one from Target a couple years ago for under $5, but you could also easily DIY one if you have a little chalkboard or whiteboard and some colourful chalk/markers.

Since tissues are something we all use anyway, why not switch out your boring old box for a cute little festive one??
