Wet n Wild Highlights

Hi everyone! Long time no post- its only been a week, but still! I have had zero time for outfit pictures this summer so far, which is very disappointing, but I still want to get some good content up so we are just sticking with beauty for today! I have two highlights, both from Wet n Wild, both dirt cheap, to review today. Spoiler: One is great, and one is pretty mediocre. Keep reading!!
Pictured above are two really affordable highlight options from Wet n Wild. The powder one is the Shimmer Palette in the shade 'I'll Have a Cosmo'. The stick is the Makeup Stick in the shade 'When the Nude Strikes'.

Right off the bat, I can say if you don't like using products wet then you will not be able to use the powder Wet n Wild highlight. When used dry, its just a chunky, not pigmented glittery mess. I really don't like wetting my brushes, so this product is not a fave of mine- but, when you do use this wet it creates a really intense pinky silver light on your face (on the face it isn't too pink, but swatched it almost looks like a blush). Any texture on your face will be very exaggerated, but a lot of highlights so that so for me it's not a big deal. The packaging is pretty clunky and cheap. I would rate this 3/5 stars.

The stick highlight, on the other hand, is an easy 5/5 stars for me! Although it drives me nuts that the words have already rubbed off the packaging, I really love the convenience and result of this product. I do a pretty generous stripe across my cheekbones, and blend with my fingers or a dense brush. The shade pictured is a very cool toned, slightly pinky, shade that I find really flattering (I have very fair skin). This product is easily one of my most used highlights, regardless of price :)

If you found this post useful please let me know! Thanks for reading!
