Railroad Stripe Shorts

Hello friends! Today I have just gotten back from a quick family trip to NYC- and somehow it completely slipped my mind to take some fun Instagram pics while I was there! I'm mad at myself for forgetting because I definitely saw some very photogenic walls and coffee shops, the epitome of Instagram-worthy. Regardless, I am back to my computer and camera and ready for some awesome summer posts coming up. If you're reading this around the time I publish it, June has almost come to end (summer is going too quickly!) which means all your favorite bloggers and Youtubers will be pumping out the June favorites posts, which I am thinking of doing too (maybe it could become a regular thing?). Stay tuned if you are into those types of posts, I know they are some of my favorites to read! Anyway, enough shop talk. Let's get into today's outfit!
If I remember correctly I have worn this top from Zara in a previous post. It is one of my most worn shirts and it looks great with the cut of these shorts. I got it last season in London but really you can get the look of this outfit with any plain white top.
These are the shorts I am wearing. Somehow they look like an optical illusion in every picture I take with them! I have several pairs of Crown and Ivy shorts and I can't recommend them enough- they are high quality, affordable (catch them on sale!) and the prints rival those of Lilly Pulitzer (and if I haven't made that clear, I LOVE my Lilly!!).
And finally, the accessories. I wore my Kendra Scott Elisa Pendant in white pearl, birthstone Alex and Ani, and a layering necklace from Charming Charlie. You've seen my shoes on Instagram (@fifteenfashionblog ... working on building a great account!), they are the Dr. Scholls Rae sandals. Yes, I do wear these all the time without remorse :)
I hope everyone enjoyed this outfit- I absolutely love it and it may just be my 4th of July outfit (the stripes are the wrong direction but who cares?). Thanks for reading, and come back soon!
